Frequently asked questions.
How do I book my guide trip?
Give us a call at (989) 326 - 1069. We’re ready to get you on the water!
What’s required to reserve a trip?
A $150 non-refundable deposit is due at the time of booking to lock in your date. The remaining balance is due on the day of your trip.
What’s your cancellation policy?
All deposits are non-refundable.
We kindly ask for at least 24 hours notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your trip. Life happens, and we’re happy to apply your deposit to a future outing.
Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice will be charged the full cost of the trip.
How many anglers can you accommodate?
We can accommodate 3 anglers per boat (please see guide rates for prices). If your group is larger, we can organize a multi-boat trip so everyone can fish together!
Do you provide everything? What do I need to bring?
Yes! We provide everything you’ll need for fishing — the boat, rods, and tackle are all included.
Please dress for the weather, bring polarized sunglasses, and make sure you have a current Michigan fishing license.
What do I wear for a fishing trip?
Please dress for the weather — this is Northern Michigan, and conditions can change quickly. We recommend checking the forecast the day before and dressing in layers.
Polarized sunglasses are highly recommended.
Do I need a fishing license?
Yes, you’ll need a current and valid State of Michigan fishing license for your trip.
We do not supply licenses, but you can easily get one online from the Michigan DNR website.
Is there an age minimum?
Yes, we ask that all anglers are over the age of 10.
Is food provided?
We do not provide food, but we do offer water and have a cooler on board.
You're more than welcome to bring snacks or drinks — just keep in mind that space is limited on the boat.
What if the weather is bad?
Safety is our top priority. If we need to cancel due to unsafe weather or water conditions, we’ll notify you as soon as possible and reschedule your trip for the soonest available date.
Can I keep the fish I catch?
Absolutely! You're welcome to keep your catch, as long as it's within state regulations. If you prefer catch and release, just let your guide know.
Do you offer fly fishing trips or conventional tackle only?
We offer both fly fishing and light tackle spin fishing. Let us know your preference when booking so we can prep the right gear.
Can I bring alcohol on the trip?
Yes, beer or wine in moderation is allowed for guests over 21. We ask that you avoid glass containers and always drink responsibly.
Are pets allowed?
We love animals, but for safety reasons, we ask that you leave pets at home unless otherwise arranged ahead of time.
